How did you do it?

What are you using it for? My Note 4 has screen mirroring, and you can do plenty with the Chrome Cast.

Just buy a chromecast.

We bought one of these years ago. It seems to work very well.
42" Sony Google TV. Runs Android. I can plug in USB drives and watch almost any video file.
It has a YouTube app and Chrome. Neither are wonderful.
You're best bet is Chromecast.

Breaking from the theme of Chromecasts, if you're okay with going Linux-based (still Android compatible) and want something with loads more power, I use a Raspberry Pi B+ running RaspBMC as a media center/streaming device.

I use PS3 Media Player on my PC, then use either the Playstation or XBox hooked up to the TV.

FireTV Stick + Kodi + All the apps (IceFilms/1channel/sportsdemon/etc) = ALL THE INTERNETS!
Or so I hear. :)

I tried the chromecast when it first came out, I wasn't impressed.

Looking to build something like this http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Box-Med…
The price on that thing is ridiculous, considering that it is more than likely running on open source software and I'm sure that hardware that it is using comes in well under $100, TOPS!
So, pretty much, this project would be my version of having a car that I can pop the hood on and do things on the engine. I suck with auto mechanics, but do fairly well with this sort of thing.

They've made many updates since it was released.

jumped through all kinds of hoops with raspberry pi and xbmc plugins, Plex, and my awful Logitech review Google TV. The PS3 has been the best experience, but we always just use the roku.
However, I never tried android on RPi. I would recommend looking into Cubox, small system on chip compys already in cases that will run android.
